With the world moving into economy cars like it is, perhaps the new Nissan GTR will be one of the last great sports cars we will ever see. I for one think so. It will be sad to see sports cars like this die but I think it is inevitable. Most of the concept cars shown at last year's Tokyo auto show were of a very fuel-efficient and earth friendly nature. However the Nissan skyline GTR was the only true race bred sports car there.the car is now on the roads in Japan and soon will hit North America. By many it is considered or will be considered the greatest sports car of all time. For a fraction of the price it is better than most Porsches and Ferrari's out there. the car will sell for around $70,000 in the United States. In Canada I hear you'll be closer to 90,000.the car can apparently do zero to 60 in 3.3 seconds. That is really an incredible feat considering how heavy the cars.the car weighs 3,836 pounds.
There will also be a fair amount of tech put into this car. The audio system will have a built-in 30 GB hard drive to store all your music or whatever data you wish.
the engine will have an incredible power at 473 hp. Of course the drive train will be all-wheel-drive. Just like previous skylines. It has not been announced how much fuel economy this car will be getting, but surely these numbers will not be impressive.
The car will have an incredible top speed of 193 mph. The engine will be a 3.8 twin turbo V-6 engine. The transmission will be a six speed. It will have a unique dual clutch system.
Anyway these are the general specifications. If you want to know more in detail check out Nissan homepage.
How do I feel about this car? Well for one I really liked the looks. I have never seen one in person yet but I'm sure too soon enough. I own and R32 to myself, so I know what an incredible car this will become. I'm not a huge fan of sports cars but the skyline won me over. I will be traveling to Japan next year, so I look forward to seeing the new skyline when they get over there. However by that time I'm sure he will also be on roads here in North America. Anyway that's all for skyline news today, thanks for reading and stay tuned for more.
